(Source: Reuters) Zara, which has around 2200 stores across 88 countries is one of the most successful high street fashion brands. Recently, in a shocking revelation, shoppers at Zara, Istanbul found notes from unpaid workers hidden in garments, revealing the miserable condition of the labourers.
As reported by The Associated Press, one of the notes read, “I made this item you are going to buy, but I didn’t get paid for it”. The notes urged shoppers to campaign and pressure Zara into paying them.
It also came to light that the employers were hired at the Bravo Tekstil factory in Turkey, which closed down overnight.
A spokesperson from Inditex told The Independent, “Inditex has met all of its contractual obligations to Bravo Textil and is currently working on..
